A few glimpses into our week!
It has been an awesome week here at Rochester School for field trips and hands on learning!
On Wednesday the 5th-8th grade students visited Rokeby Underground Railroad Museum, a nationally recognized historical site! We got to visit the “Free and Safe” Exhibit documenting the lives of escaping and freed slaves, the outbuildings along the property where some of these fugitive slaves lived, the house that the Robinson family lived in for over 200 years, and the trails along the property showing changes in the land, fields, and forests over time. It was a beautiful day and a beautiful trip!
Then, on Thursday Mrs. Cruikshank’s 3rd grade class took an incredibly historically engaging field trip to Fort Ticonderoga!
